Aysegul C. GOKALP

My focus is to provide a safe environment for you to be able to confide without fear or judgement and  to protect your confidentiality and privacy. My approach is person centered, with holistic view of Gestalt. This means that I will work with you and what you bring in a way that allows you retain control over the direction we take. I offer medium to long term therapy on a one-to-one basis, focusing on your needs according to where you are on your journey.

I have performed a variety of roles as both a professional and a volunteer that have given me opportunities to gain experience of managing, developing and supporting people for 15 years. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and I adhere to the high standards and ethical framework for this membership

I have an UKCP Accredited Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy, an Accredited BACP Diploma in Gestalt Counselling and qualification in Humanistic Counselling. I have experience of working with people who have a wide range of emotional challenges including anxiety and stress, depression, loss, bereavement, fertility problems, relationship conflicts, dysfunctional family difficulties. I have further training on personality disorders that have helped to develop my capacity to support other people in gaining insight to be able to help themselves.

I currently practise in central and southwest London, I work with people age 16 and over. I also work for organisations such as MIND, KWC, and WT that provide high quality and evidence based psychological therapies and monitor their client’s health and therapeutic progression.

The first step is for you to get in touch and we can arrange a face -to-face assessment session. During our session together, I will encourage you to talk about the areas in your life that you would like to focus on. If you chose to proceed, subsequent sessions occur on a weekly basis at a regular, mutually agreed time.
